allows better plotting right from the start.

No New Posts character requests

Please check this board before you decide firmly on which character you would like to

they advertise than to try and form something out of nothing.

hall of shame but instead an educational tool for those wishing to apply and are able to
see the difference between these apps and those that have already been accepted.

TIME AND SPACE

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts events and occasions

Special events and orchestrated parties can make roleplaying confusing in its chronology,
so this board has been set aside for those threads specific to an individual event. Long or
on-going events, however, are roleplayed on the main boards.
There are currently no events to be roleplayed.

0 0 No posts have been made on this board.
No New Posts past memories

This board is for roleplaying events that actually happened in your character's past or hist-
ory. To save confusion in amongst other roleplays, this board has been set aside for past
experiences. These are for communal roleplays. Any solitary writing of personal events is to
be done in your character's personal development thread.

Sometimes in roleplaying, we're happy with the direction plotting takes us but can't help

play whatever you would like to including characters and decisions that might not have act-
ually existed in the rest of the boards.

No New Posts letters, notes and scraps

HAERT OF TOWN

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts the main square

Full of the hustle and bustle of the town, the main square holds in its centre a large square
fountain that is constantly running. Little green pads float on its rippling surface and the clip-
clack of shoes on the cobblestones join the falling water the make a jolly symphony. This is
the place in town the flea market sets up in on its occasional visits to Haertwell.

No New Posts st laverne cathedral

Famous for its gargoyles, sculptures and bell towers, the St Laverne's Cathedral houses fine
stain glass windows and a ceiling that seems as far from reach as the Gods themselves. With
all the pews made of wood and large, multi-branched candle stick towers lining the alcoves
it's a typical construction of the faith. With mass every morning at 9 sharp and regular holi-
day ceremonies at Easter and Christmas, it's the central hub of believers' lives.

No New Posts haertwell park

Seemingly always bathed in light, the Haertwell park is several fields of green with bright
and large trees creating shade against he sunshine. Little cobble paths wind there way
around the area and a boating lake lies to the south of the greenery. A children's play area
can be found with large multi-coloured structures that children can play on and slide down.

No New Posts town hall and courthouse

Those who have done something that they probably shouldn't have will end up here. We
at Haertwell have a pretty decent police service so be aware that this is most likely where
you will end up for any kind of lawlessness. Or if you're a lawyer of course. To get a solicitor
to defend you in your case check out the Cobra Investigators and Solicitors over at the
lower docks. They are by far the cheapest.

No New Posts haertwell hospital

A necessity for any town, big or small. Haertwell Hospital has won awards, if not for major
scientific breakthroughs but at least for its friendly staff and good bedside manner. The
hospital handles anything from a scraped knee to lobotomy's in the town so don't be afraid
to drop by and make an appointment if you are unwell.

ed. Just call 911 and the guys with the lights and sirens will be there as soon as they can.

No New Posts haertwell central zoo

Lions and Tigers and Bears - Oh my! And plenty else. This zoo has everything you could
want from an animal enclosure facility. With stands for food and ice creams and clear paths
all around the complex. Not to mention the fact that there's occasionally the odd group of
animal rights protesters out in the car park.

No New Posts dawes and sons bank

Owned by the aging and crotchety Mr Dawes, the bank of Haertwell is a strict and surly
environment that counts its money meticulously. Your cash isn't safer anywhere else, even
if the bankers behind the cashiers are rude. A large, grey box of a building with black
cursive scroll announcing its title, it has to be one of the most boring buildings in town.

No New Posts haertwell penitentiary

The final stop for those on the lawlessness path. Situated toward the outskirts of the main
centre of town, and away from the Upper North who would be most infuriated to have such
riff-raff on their doorstep - the penitentiary is a well guarded prison for all criminals, high
      and low, dangerous or otherwise.

THE UPPER NORTH

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts maldonian manors

The richest and most lavish living conditions Haertwell has to offer, the manor estate,
named after the rich country of Maldonia, is a huge area in the upper north that boasts
large manor houses with rolling lawns to each. Only for the most expensive clientelle, those
that wish to purchase a property in the area must first proceed through an interviewing pro-
cess by the communal board of owners.

No New Posts merryweather heights

Now this is luxury! Only affordable by those that can afford to live in the Maldonian Manors,
the Merryweather Heights are rented most usually for the college student children of such
people; those that no longer wish to live at home but do not want to mingle with the riff-
raff in the dormitories. As such, the Heights are thriving with life and youth and more than
a little pounding music most times of the day and night.

No New Posts sunburst art gallery

From the low amateur artist managing to swing his way into a single day exhibit to the
masters of the art form holding permanent rooms all year round, the art gallery of Haert-
well is a spectacle to behold and has been seen by most on class trips. Stainless steel
and glass in construct, the gallery has a large bronze sculpture of what appears to be a
cricket in a waistcoat and a small fairy in a minidress perched on his top hat. No-one
seems to know the significance of the statue.

No New Posts deville fashion house

Garnering fame all over the city for their fashion masterpieces, Deville Fashion House
supplies the garments and designs for the rich upper classes of the city. However, it also
gets a lot of attention from media as Deville's Fashion often involves furs and leather that

No New Posts thebes gym

Home to swimming pools, gym equipment, tennis courts and everything else you could
imagine from a delux fitness centre. The annual price for entrance is ridiculously steep but
fake passes are also rather common among those who don't own their own yacht and no-
one at the establishment cares so long as there's no trouble. A steady agreement lies bet-
ween the lower class and the business managers of the gym. If they don't trash the place,
they get in on a tenner. The managers know how to make a little bit on the side. Of
course, this secret never gets out to the fat cats willing to pay oh so much more. Generally
white and blue in decor the gym is kept pristine by around the clock staff and hosts.

WESTSIDE DISTRICT

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts town residences

Built nearly twenty years ago the homes for most wealthier residents of Haertwell reside
in the town houses in Westside. While the grotty apartments of Dragonguard Towers and
the more sedate housing settlements house those of lower financial support, the town
houses rest for those older, more experienced adults with families they can actually afford.
With a small street and a generally pleasant neighbourhood these areas of residence
are perfectly average for the everyday, boring person, full of family estates or sedans and
      windows hung with net curtains.

No New Posts the café

Much more "hip" and "new" than Mrs Potts' (as well as a right sight cheaper), the cafe of
Westside is popular with teenagers spending the day in the city and business men nip-
ping in and out for lunchtime and afternoon tea snacks. All are welcome but it is much
more commercial and less personal than the exclusive Mrs Potts'.

of old books, as is only to be expected.

No New Posts benbow hotel

Modest price, friendly staff and a warm bed. You can't ask for much more from a small town
hotel. Breakfast is included in the bill but other meals are to be paid for. Pets and animals
are forbidden and no smoking is allowed inside the buildings. The exterior of the property
itself is mostly wooden panelling and golden, old english lettering defining its title. The
best and probably only place to stay in Haertwell.

No New Posts hart's tarts ltd.

Owned by the rich Harts family, the cake and delightful treats company has been running
for over 60 years. They're a well established socialite family and their food is often used
in the top restaurants of the city. However, the bulk of their income also stems from the
lower class chain of bakeries they've established all over the country.

No New Posts rags to riches

From the cheap-ass basics range of clothing to the high class end of the rail, Rags to Rich-
es offers clothing from every price guide. Just be careful who sees you buying from which
side of the store! The staff here don't judge but there are other shoppers who might... Deck-
ed out in white tile floor and red and gold walls the place is huge with rail upon rail of
clothing. Get lost in the fabric and come on in.

No New Posts king records

You walk in and it's a CD / records paradise! Not the hugest of stores but wall upon wall is
covered in the records of the decades. From the 50s to the modern day the place is named
after the one and only king of rock n roll but it houses music of every genre. It even has
headphone stands where you can listen before you buy. The outside of the building is full
of floor to ceiling windows, decked out in records that have been glued on to the glass as
a display. Come on in and check the place out for yourself!

No New Posts elixir

Named after the kind of potion that keeps you forever young, Elixir is the most popular
nightclub in the area. Pulsing lights and a soul deep beat, the music's too loud to hear any-
thing and no-one wants it turned down. Very popular with the youth of the city, Elixir is the
affordable answer to The Upper North's VIP lounges. Occasionally the sons and daughters
of millionaires dare to step inside the two story building to see how the "other half" live but
they often stick out. Downstairs is the main bar and huge dance floor while upstairs culti-
vates a quieter pool table and sofa arrangement with gambiling machines and private
nooks. Generally the colours of the place are red and purple but no-one can really tell wh-
at exact shade given the constantly dim lighting.

No New Posts tony's italian cuisine

Decked out to the nines for romantic atmosphere, Tony's is the place for the middle class
that feel a little flush. It's not the Indian cheap take-out down the street yet it's not the posh
dining areas of the swanky hotels up-market. Instead it's a posh and smart place that won't
cost an arm and a leg. With detail in its service settings, low lighting, and candles on every
table the Italian restaurant is a popular favourite for young couples. Out in the cobbled
courtyard behind the restaurant, leading out from open french doors is an outdoor seat-
ing area, which, on dry nights, is open to customers to dine under the stars.

EASTERN PROVINCES

Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts dragonguard towers

Several apartment blocks of cheap studio flats open for rent. Cold grey and very basic,
these looming pillars of architecture are a decreasing skyline. From the huge skyscrapers
of the metropolitan area of the city these apartment blocks steadily lower the rooftop level
into the town house residential area of the city outskirts. These blocks are the dangerous
ones to live in, where people break into your home, air conditioners fall on your head and
homeless people whizz in your lobby.

No New Posts suburban housing

The suburbs of Haertwell town have so far been left untainted by the smog and debris the
main business streets harbour. Quaint and actually quite pretty, the suburban areas are the
homes of mostly elderly or young and rich teenagers whose daddy has bought them a new
house. The bungalows situated here come in many shapes and sizes but generally they're
smaller rather than larger with dainty gardens and bright flowers. Occassionally a hooligan
from the city will rob a house or someone will graffitti a car and it'll be big news for a
couple of weeks and then die down once more.

No New Posts starbucks coffee

Starbucks! What can you say that people don't already know? The warmth, the deep wood-
sy colours in the decor and that gorgeous smell that tempts you in through the door. Pricey
and with queues but hey, this is starbucks! People are willing to wait for the perfection of
that coffee. So if you are one of the caffeine addicts then come on in out of the cold, join
the queue, and make yourself comfortable.

No New Posts golden arches

The big chain itself. Everyone knows what to expect from that giant yellow M on the stand.
The cheap, delicious and oh so bad for you food, the repetitive music and the guy behind

No New Posts fenner real estate

Owned by the fenner brothers, the real estate business is basic and bold in its desire for
expansion and money, but this is only to be expected from its company and its owners.
Blockish and grey, the building is simple besides the cursive gold lettering above the
store front, proclaiming its name and occupation.

No New Posts wally's games and electricals

From advanced computer systems to little plug adapters - Wally sells everything. Always
behind the counter with some kind of gadget or whatjamacallit in his hands, Wally knows
everything there is to know about everything he sells so if you get stuck in the plastic/
metal jungle then just ask him! Friendly and cheerful with a bit of a lisp, he doesn't bite.
The store itself is very understated. You might miss it if you were just walking by, so keep
an eye sharp for the place.

No New Posts omar's jazz bar

A large black man with a large white smile, Omar runs the jazz bar a little down the street
from the noisy clubs of the night. In his small business, a few stairs down from street level.
the smokey room offers a bar and server as well as a raised stage for small time profe-
ssionals and local amateurs to play on. The music offered ranges from blues, jazz, country
and slow pop songs, but once a week on a Tuesday night he lets in an RnB DJ for younger
punters. All red and leather sofas and seats, cigar smoke clinging to the air, O'mar's is a
favourite with business suits and their wives, or the younger, but mature generation.

No New Posts sultan express

A large Indian restaurant, the Sultan Express is both an eat in and take out restaurant that
makes its living from late night club goers making their way back along the main street. It
is also, however, open during the day with more staff to host the families and shoppers that
pass by and are lured in by the delicious Indian spices smell. It is also a little cheaper than
the Italian restaurant Tony's down the road that plays host to the richer middle class that
find it terribly common to eat at an "immigrant"'s business. With checkered floor tiles and
table clothes the Sultan Express is painted in warm Indian colours and smiling service.

No New Posts red maria's bohemian paradise

Owned by a small and shrewd French woman, Red Maria's is the classy home for street-
walkers. Fancy a flamboyant stop for pleasure...? This is the place. The front door opens up
into a staircase leading downwards. That staircase that leads the customer down into the
lower rooms of the building is the welcome area. Guests choose their girl from a glossy
catalogue and are then taken upstairs to the appropriate bedroom.

ols have it all. Get your guns or bullets here with personal inscription or customization offer-
ed for an extra cost. Run by a large British gent with a heck of a lot of tattoos, we encourage

      story each one depicts.

No New Posts cogsworth's junk shop

Rubbish, junk, crap... everyone has their name for it. But here at Cogsworth's "junk" is the
stuff of value and treasure. The most insignificant, broken, dirty or forgotten artefact or item
is held in esteem here at the local junk store, buffed up to its finest and shown off to the
world. Usually advertised as in full working order, we encourage you to take that line as
a hope rather than a guarantee.

No New Posts the horned king

Grubby, dark and dank, the Horned King holds as much hospitality as its name sake. A
wooden structure, held together more by its dirt than its nails, the public house is run by the
wirey little man behind the bar. Toothless with very little hair, the owner's only expense to-
ward the leisure of his punters is a wide screen TV on which football could be viewed if the
owner was asked. As such it remains blank 99% of the time.

No New Posts the sunken waterways

Around the coastal edge of Haertwell lie the caves and sunken ways the sea has carved
out for itself. When the tide is out you can reach these mazes in the rock faces with climb-
ing and care but once the tide comes in, make sure you aren't inside - there's no way out
against the strong current and you will surely drown. So why do people go inside? Adven-
ture the prestige of saying they did so... oh, and the expensive jewels that, for reasons un-
known, are rumoured to rest at he far back passages.

No New Posts jackpot arcades

Beeping, plinking and the clattering of change, the Jackpot Arcades put Vegas to shame
in a small strip of the Haertwell boulevard and shine at all hours of the day and night.
Not only popular with hard core gamblers, the petty cash machines in the front snag the
pocket money of many a younger person.

No New Posts triton's diner

Home to several exquisite sea food chefs the King of the Ocean's restaurant is open to all
ages and all groups. During the day it plays host to the few families and elderly that visit
the beach on a rare visit while the evening draws in younger teenaged or young adult
customers who like to hang out by the surf after hours. With reasonable prices and fant-
astic smoothies the place is the ultimate beach-side food supplier.

No New Posts wonderland funfair

Repetitive music, bright glowing bulbs and the smell of candy-floss in the air. A bright
and festive place. On top of the cliffs near Triton's Diner the place offers all of the
usual games, rides and sweetly treats. With only a few staff running the place the rides
are mostly set to automatic and teens pay a single fair at the gate to go on everything.
A bit of a joke amusement teenagers and young adults make their own fun simply being
in each others company and pissing about on kiddie rides. The place is a little run down
but well loved by the locals who grew up around it.

No New Posts aloha beach huts

Along the edge of the sand, at the cliff-face is a concrete walkway. Originally built to
stop the erosion of the cliffs this area is scattered with huts and tents of those that visit the
beach regularly. The narrow pathway leading down to the huts winds around the cliff-
face and joins this concrete miander. The huts are often vacant and never bothered to
be packed away given their cheap expense, so are regularly used by those they don't
belong to. What they're used for is up to you...

No New Posts sandy shores

Sun, sea, sand and bikinis. Kick back and relax at Sandy Shores beach, only a few miles
from Haertwell's smog. A short drive, down a simple dual carriageway, leads you to the
glistening water of the Atlantic Ocean. The River Tynne, winding through one sector of
the City, leads to the great abyss of water so much cleaner than its younger brother. The
sand is reasonably clear of stones and several coral fish pools and crab shallows dot the
pristine yellow. Its not usually very busy as its a small beach unknown to many. Only
the locals, who have lived in the city for a long time, know the exact route to the
narrow pathway leading down to Sandy Shores.

TOWN OUTSKIRTS

No New Posts countryside cottages

Scattered amongst the countryside are the rural homes of the rich and famous who like
to delude themselves and fool others at cocktail dinner parties that they know what living
in the open air and hearing bird song is like, simply because they'll walk down a garden
path to fetch their newspaper every day while they stay there. A lot of people in the bung-
alows nearby dislike the fact that wealthy tycoons have taken over their beloved country-
side but the alternative was for those same tycoons to dig it up and build car parks and
business buildings on it, so no-one voices a complaint.

No New Posts roundup stables

Home to some of the best bred stallions in the region, Roundup Stables is a private and
expensive business. The horses are worth thousands if not millions and only the most
trained hands are allowed near them. Riding lessons are offered in one of their many
schools on the less pedigree brood mares, and the sons and daughters of richer fam-
ilies learn their way around a horse there. The business has several vets and owners
and nearly twenty stable-hands. The paddocks and fields span nearly ten acres, border-
ed on the far south by forestry and woodland areas.

No New Posts haertwell airport

The airport to the city that will take you anywhere in the real world, or at least to a con-
nection somewhere else that will deliver you onward. Many tycoons arrive on planes
to Haertwell intent on the Upper North area of business. The two storey grey building is
large and surrounded by it's concrete car park and run-ways. Many people work in the
area and a second building of flats accomodates them, or the residential area of Haert-
well would be over-run. The large waiting room is bland and harshly lit with slightly
worn and in need of replacement chairs. The food is pricey and the goods even dearer
but if you want to leave Haertwell the airport is your only chance of escape, unless you
fuel up and hit the motorway.

No New Posts building site

Haertwell is an expanding metropolis of prosperity and as such it is continually growing
physically. Around the outskirts of the city's limits are several building sites of little sub-
stance, simply large piles of gravel and churning machines of cement. Those working
their are on minimum wage and can fall into the category of severly pissed off or perfect-
ly friendly. Many teenagers and young adults use the areas late at night for many differ-
ent, some illegal, activities, despite clearly displayed "No Entry" signs.
